Finance and Administration (Accountant)

Our client that operates in the Energy/Petrochemical sector, is seeking a qualified Temporary Resource – Finance and Administration (Accountant). for a contract.

Engagement Period: September 15, 2026 – December 31, 2026

Location: Trinidad and Tobago

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our Finance and Administration team on a temporary basis. The successful candidate will drive technical accounting compliance, balance sheet cleanup, financial statement reporting, and cash management during this critical period.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare Audited Financial Statements (including full IFRS Checklists) and monthly Management Accounts.
• Technical Accounting: Interpret and implement accounting standards, including writing formal accounting papers for complex transactions.
• Balance Sheet Management: Execute thorough balance sheet cleanup and perform monthly general ledger reconciliations.
• Cash & Treasury Management: Oversee daily cash management, foreign exchange (Forex) conversions, and exchange rate monitoring.
• Banking Operations: Handle transactional workflows and daily tasks across on-line banking platforms.
• Systems Utilization: Leverage SAP for financial posting, reporting, and process execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: ACCA Qualified Accountant.
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of post-qualification accounting experience in a complex corporate or industrial environment.
• ERP Systems: Hands-on experience with SAP is required.
• Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of IFRS standards, online banking platforms, and multi-currency/forex accounting.
