ICT Assistant Manager

The ICT Assistant Manager is responsible for managing the organisation’s technology function, ensuring the stability, security, and efficient operation of all systems and infrastructure. The role leads the planning and implementation of technology solutions that support organisational objectives and operational needs, while providing oversight of internal teams and external service providers. It ensures strong governance across cybersecurity, system integrity, business continuity, and risk management. The position promotes a collaborative, performance-focused environment that drives innovation, continuous improvement, and the reliable delivery of ICT services.

Salary Range: 30,000 – 35,000 TTD


Responsibilities:-

  • Develop and implement the ICT strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals.
  • Prepare and manage the ICT budget, ensuring cost efficiency and value for investment.
  • Oversee ICT infrastructure, including servers, storage, networks, and communication systems, ensuring security, stability, and optimal performance.
  • Monitor ICT systems and critical applications to ensure reliability, functionality, and compliance with relevant standards and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including oversight of data backup processes to ensure operational resilience.
  • Collaborate with relevant governance structures to align ICT capabilities with business continuity and resilience objectives.
  • Define, monitor, and report on service level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and service performance metrics.
  • Manage ICT contracts, including procurement, licensing, negotiation, and renewals, ensuring value and continuity of services.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:-

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise ICT environments, including networks, servers, and database systems.
  • Working knowledge of cloud and hybrid platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure or equivalent) and modern application technologies to support oversight of technical resources.
  • Experience in cybersecurity and information security management, including vulnerability management, threat detection, and incident response.
  • Understanding of core operational systems and business processes within a complex organisational environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal, regulatory, and governance frameworks, including data protection and ICT governance in a regulated setting.
  • Strong project management skills, including planning, implementation, and vendor management of ICT initiatives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other enterprise productivity tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to interact effectively with senior leadership, auditors, and external stakeholders.
