Group Warehouse Manager

Our client, a leading organization within the Industrial Engineering / Engineering & Technical Services sector, is seeking an experienced and results-oriented Group Warehouse Manager to lead and oversee its warehouse and distribution operations.

Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient receipt, storage, handling and distribution of goods, inventory accuracy, logistics coordination, warehouse optimization, safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage receiving, handling, storage and distribution of freight, products and supplies.
  • Optimize warehouse capacity, layout, space utilization and throughput.
  • Implement effective stock rotation and inventory management practices, including FIFO.
  • Provide strategic and operational direction on warehouse best practices.
  • Manage inbound and outbound logistics to ensure timely customer deliveries.
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Production, Sales/Marketing and Plant Managers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and resolve discrepancies.
  • Coordinate monthly and annual stock counts and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage warehouse expenses and ensure optimum value for logistics costs.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO standards, company procedures and audit recommendations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Lead, motivate and develop warehouse teams.
  • Monitor the performance of third-party logistics (3PL) providers and enforce SLAs.
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly warehouse reports and statistics.
  • Liaise with customers, contractors and suppliers as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Undergraduate degree, preferably a BSc in Management Studies, Warehouse Management or a related field.
  • Technical Diploma or certification in Warehouse Management is an asset.
  • 6–10 years’ experience in a similar capacity.
  • Strong inventory control and reporting skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Reqlogic, Main Smart and Dynamic Software is an advantage.
