Stock Auditor
The Stock Auditor is responsible for auditing, verification and reconciliation of inventory items/ records. Conducting stock counts and ensuring that all inventory transactions are properly recorded and accounted for in the inventory management system and physical records.
Employment Type: 6 month contract
Location: Port-of-Spain
Salary: $5,289.00 per month
- Conduct periodic and annual physical inventory counts.
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies and variances.
- Ensure there is proper labeling, storage and organization of inventory items.
- Prepare inventory reports as required by the Inventory Supervisor.
- File and maintain inventory-related documentation and records.
- Conduct inventory reconciliations and assist with inventory audits.
- Check physical stores inventory against computerized records (Maximo) to ensure accuracy.
- Report any discrepancies in inventory records to the Inventory Supervisor.
- Minimum five (5) CXC O’ level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
- Certificate or Diploma in Inventory Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting or a related field would be an asset.
- Ability to use computer inventory software
- Knowledge of inventory control principles and warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of stock receiving, issuing and reconciliation procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and prepare reports.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in inventory control, stores operations, warehouse management or a related field.
- Experience using computerized inventory management systems is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Physical Environment and Hazards – Work is performed in a warehouse, stores or office environment.
- Physical Demand – May be required to lift and move inventory items within established safety guidelines.
- Special Conditions – May be required to work outside normal working hours during stock count exercises or operational requirements.
Equipment & Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Used:
- Safety boots with steel toe protection.
- Dust masks for dusty storage environments.
- Coveralls
