Sales & Business Development Officer

Job Summary
To drive sustainable revenue growth by acquiring new customers, expanding existing client relationships, increasing market penetration, and positioning the company as the preferred provider of diagnostic and healthcare solutions. The Sales & Business Development Officer will serve as a trusted advisor to clients, consistently delivering exceptional customer experiences while identifying opportunities to expand the company’s market presence and profitability.
Job Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities to achieve revenue growth targets.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging opportunities, competitive threats, and customer needs.
- Develop strategic plans to penetrate new market segments and geographic territories.
- Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, trade shows, and industry meetings.
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Consistently achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Promote and sell the organization’s products and services to healthcare providers, corporate clients, insurance companies, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, proposals, and business cases to prospective customers.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and service agreements within approved guidelines.
- Maximize revenue opportunities within existing accounts through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and proactively address client concerns.
- Conduct regular customer visits to strengthen relationships and identify additional opportunities.
Strategic & Operational Support
- Collaborate with Marketing, Operations, Customer Service, and Clinical teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
- Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within the organization’s CRM system.
- Prepare regular sales performance reports, forecasts, and market intelligence reports.
- Contribute to the development and execution of the company’s sales and marketing strategy.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- Professional certification or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, or Business Development is an asset.
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience in sales, business development, account management, or customer relationship management.
- Experience within healthcare, medical laboratory, pharmaceutical, or related healthcare industries is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Access to a reliable vehicle in good working condition.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Trinidad & Tobago and the wider Caribbean region as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours when necessary to support business objectives
