Heavy T Driver

Our client, a well-established company located in the Chaguanas area, is seeking to permanently onboard a reliable and experienced Heavy T Driver to join their team.

Employment Type: Permanent
Salary: TT$6,500 per month
Probationary Period: 3 months
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Position Overview

The Heavy T Driver will be responsible for carrying out general courier duties, port cargo pickups, customer deliveries, and intercompany inventory transfers. The role will also involve assisting with warehouse inventory activities and periodic travel to Tobago.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled courier services, port clearances, and intercompany transfers.
• Deliver parts and goods directly to clients in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist warehouse staff with loading, off-loading, and organizing inventory.
• Operate a forklift as required to support warehouse and loading activities.
• Travel to Tobago for site and client visits alongside a Customer Service Representative, as required.
• Ensure all deliveries and collections are completed safely and efficiently.
• Maintain the cleanliness and general condition of the assigned vehicle.
• Complete required delivery documentation and maintain accurate records.
• Comply with all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Key Requirements

• Valid Class 4 and Class 5 Heavy T Driver’s Licences.
• Ability to operate a forklift; formal certification would be an asset but is not mandatory.
• Clean driving record with no criminal convictions or outstanding traffic offences.
• Previous experience in delivery, courier, warehouse, or related driving activities would be an asset.
• Willingness and ability to travel to Tobago as required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional approach when interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Ability to safely handle and transport goods and equipment.
