Finance Analyst
A well-established organisation within the Food Service and Catering Sector in East Trinidad is seeking a Finance Analyst to support the Finance Manager
Position Summary
The Finance Analyst supports the Finance Manager in delivering accurate financial reporting, analysis, budgeting, and compliance in accordance with local statutory and Group reporting requirements.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting Executive Management through insightful financial analysis and strong financial control.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis

Assist with month-end close in accordance with company timelines
-
Prepare Management Accounts by the 8th of each month
-
Complete all other statutory and internal financial reporting by the 10th of each month
-
Prepare detailed monthly variance analyses
-
Perform financial and business analysis by product, customer, and business line
-
Support ad-hoc management and operational reporting
Budgeting, Forecasting & Cash Management
-
Prepare annual and mid-year budgets and financial projections
-
Track departmental performance against budget (revenue, expenses, CAPEX)
-
Prepare and update cash flow forecasts and circulate daily cash positions
-
Identify and recommend cost-control and efficiency initiatives
Reconciliations & Controls
-
Prepare and review month-end reconciliations and schedules
-
Ensure all reconciling items are resolved promptly
Statutory & Regulatory Compliance (Trinidad & Tobago)

Manage calculations, reconciliations, and payments for:
-
PAYE
-
NIS
-
Health Surcharge
-
VAT
-
Corporation Tax
-
-
Ensure compliance with BIR, NIS, and VAT filing requirements
-
Maintain accurate statutory records in accordance with local regulations
Audit & Governance
-
Coordinate and support internal and external audits
-
Address and close Management Letter findings
-
Execute monthly audit packages and financial control reviews
-
Review and update finance policies, procedures, and workflows
Pricing, Costing & Intercompany
-
Support pricing exercises, costing models, and scenario analysis
-
Review revenue against cost and delivery performance
-
Oversee intercompany invoicing, reconciliations, and confirmations
Supervision & Departmental Support
-
Supervise and support Accounting Officers
-
Prepare, review, and post journals
-
Act as backup to the Finance Manager and senior finance team members
Records Management & Safety
-
Ensure proper filing and document retention
-
Enforce workplace safety standards, including HACCP, Food Safety, and Hygiene requirements
Qualifications & Experience
-
Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
-
ACCA qualification or in progress (MBA an asset)
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within Manufacturing, FMCG, or Distribution
-
Strong audit, compliance, and statutory reporting experience in Trinidad & Tobago
-
Advanced Microsoft Excel and Office skills
-
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and/or SAP is an asset
-
Sound working knowledge of International Accounting Standards

Strong command of English; Spanish is an asset
