Cleaner / Yard & Outdoor Attendant – Barbados

Position Summary

We are currently creating a pool of candidates for a Cleaner / Yard Attendant who would be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and exterior upkeep at the Official Residence. The role supports the daily operation and presentation of the residence by ensuring outdoor areas are clean, orderly well maintained, safe, and presentable. All duties must be carried out with discretion, professionalism, and respect for confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all outdoor areas of the official residence including grounds, lawns, gardens, walkways, driveway, and perimeter areas.

• Sweep and clean outdoor areas including patios, verandas, and entrances.

• Assist with basic outdoor maintenance tasks and report any damage or safety hazards.

• Keep tools, equipment, and outdoor storage areas clean and organized

• Maintain cleanliness before and after official meetings or residence events.

• Dispose of household waste responsibly and in accordance with local regulations.

• To carry out minor domestic repair tasks that may be required at the Residence

Health, Safety & Security

• Use all cleaning products, tools, and equipment safely and correctly.

• Follow embassy safety and security procedures at all times.

• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the residence, occupants, staff, and visitors.

• Report maintenance issues, broken equipment, or security concerns promptly to the supervisor.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Prior experience in cleaning, housekeeping, yard work, or general maintenance is preferred.

• Ability to operate basic cleaning and gardening equipment.

• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.

• Ability to follow instructions and work independently.

• Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet.
