Export Warehouse Manager

Job Objective

The Export Warehouse Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing all export warehouse operations to ensure the efficient storage, inventory control, and timely dispatch of products to international markets. The role is accountable for maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring compliance with international trade and customs requirements, driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that support customer satisfaction and business objectives.

Core Responsibilities

• Lead and manage all export warehouse operations to ensure the efficient receipt, storage, inventory control, and dispatch of products for international markets.
• Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control processes and warehouse operating procedures to ensure inventory accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Monitor stock levels, conduct regular inventory audits, and implement corrective actions to minimize discrepancies, product loss, and obsolescence.
• Ensure the timely and accurate fulfillment of export orders while maintaining compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse productivity, service levels, inventory accuracy, and cost efficiency.
• Develop and manage warehouse operational budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising operational performance.
• Establish, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations, inventory management, order fulfillment, and employee productivity.
• Lead, coach, develop, and manage warehouse personnel through effective performance management, training, and succession planning initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external stakeholders, including freight forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics providers, to ensure efficient export operations and customer satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environmental (HSE), quality, and security standards while promoting a safe working environment.
• Prepare operational reports, analyses warehouse performance trends, and provide recommendations to improve overall supply chain effectiveness.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to support the objectives of the Supply Chain function.

Education

• Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Warehouse Management, or Operations Management would be an asset.

Experience

• Minimum of five (5) years’ progressive experience in warehouse, logistics, or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a management or supervisory capacity leading warehouse operations.
• Demonstrated experience managing export warehouse operations, inventory control, and distribution activities.
• Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), inventory management systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
