Administrative Assistant
Our client in the Banking Sector is seeking a suitably qualified candidate to fill the temporary position of Administrative Assistant.
Salary: $8,440.00
Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant will coordinate the day-to-day operations of the assigned department and provide a full range of administrative, secretarial, and clerical support. This role also supports office services by implementing and monitoring administrative systems, procedures, and policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Answer and screen telephone calls for the Manager and relay messages as required
- Manage and maintain the Manager’s calendar, including scheduling meetings and anticipating conflicts
- Coordinate and attend meetings, training sessions, and conferences
- Receive, sort, and distribute correspondence; draft routine communications
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Maintain and update departmental files and records (electronic and physical)
- Prepare and maintain databases, spreadsheets, and reports (e.g. attendance registers)
- Manage office supplies, inventory, and procurement records
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and follow up on repairs
- Perform other related administrative duties as required
Education, Skills & Training
- 5 GCE O’Levels (Grades A–C) or CXC General (Grades I–III, 1998 and after), including English Language and Mathematics, or equivalent
- Certificate in Administrative Professional Office Management or equivalent
- Sound knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong time management and organizational skills
Experience Required
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar administrative role
