Location: Port of Spain, Trinidad

Employment Type: Contract (3–5 Months)
Salary: TT$6,000.00 per month
The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Records Liaison Officer to join their Credit Administration Team in Port of Spain on a 3–5 month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for the secure handling, organization, tracking, and retrieval of physical and digital credit-related documents.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, file, classify, index, and retrieve physical and digital records.
- Maintain accurate records of file movements, including check-ins, check-outs, timestamps, and authorizations.
- Ensure documents are securely stored in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with document intake, storage, access, tracking, and disposal procedures.
- Assist with the cataloguing and secure storage of security documents, including Bills of Sale, Deeds of Mortgage, and insurance certificates.
- Assist with routine Credit Administration duties, including verification and data entry.
- Retrieve documentation required for insurance claims and assist with claims tracking and checklists.
- Manage and document access to records by authorized personnel.
- Schedule appointments or supervised access to files where required.
- Liaise with departments such as Legal, Compliance, and HR regarding document requests and filing requirements.
- Generate reports relating to document inventory, access history, and usage.
- Assist with preparing documentation and summaries for internal and external audits.
- Provide administrative and operational support to the Credit Administration Team during high-volume periods.
- Transport and handle physical records between departments, storage areas, and off-site facilities as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 3 CSEC subjects: Must have English A and Mathematics
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative, clerical, records management, document control, or similar role would be an asset.
- Previous experience in banking, financial services, records management, or document control would be an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Good organizational and filing skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic knowledge of alphabetical, numerical, and chronological filing systems.
- Basic understanding of confidentiality and data protection principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to adapt quickly to new systems and processes.
- Willingness to perform duties involving regular movement and handling of physical records.
