Job Description – Inventory Coordinator
Industry: Industrial Sales
Location: Tunapuna
Working Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Weekend work may be required during stock counts and other operational requirements.
Position Summary
The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efficient management of inventory and warehouse operations. The successful candidate will assist with stock control, inventory accuracy, receiving and issuing goods, and coordinating inventory-related activities. This role requires a dependable, organized, and proactive individual who can work independently while contributing to a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Assist with receiving, storing, and issuing inventory items.
- Conduct regular stock counts and assist with inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s system.
- Coordinate the movement of stock within the warehouse.
- Assist with organizing and maintaining warehouse storage areas.
- Prepare inventory reports and supporting documentation as required.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external suppliers/customers.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently following proper training. (including forklift)
- Adhere to all company health, safety, and operational procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Five (5) CSEC subjects, including English Language and Mathematics.
- Valid Manual Driver’s Permit.
- Basic computer literacy and willingness to learn new software programs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attendance record and punctuality.
- Willingness to learn and operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous inventory, warehouse, or stock control experience.
- Knowledge of plumbing products, fittings, pipes, valves, or related industrial products.
- Forklift operating experience or certification.
- Heavy T Licence would be an asset.
