Senior Quality Control Tech

The Senior Quality Control Tech is responsible for routine quality assurance and control initiatives that support the Production Teams in delivering high-quality products efficiently.

Employment Type: 1 year to be reviewed thereafter
Location: Arima
Operating Hours: 7am to 4pm
Salary Range: $7,500 to $8,000 (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities and Duties

1. Oversees and maintain food safety and quality management systems, including:
• Evaluation and management of product non conformances
• Product traceability and controls for non-conforming materials
• Equipment calibration and certification schedules
• HACCP inspections, GMP protocols, and cleaning/sanitation monitoring
• Food safety plan validation and training
• Supply chain, chemical, pest control, water/air quality, and waste management oversight
• Maintain accurate quality records and ensure timely reporting
2. Maintain accurate quality records and ensure timely reporting of deviations or risks.
3. Involved in investigations and make suggestions for corrective actions for production non-conformances and customer complaints.
4. Conduct internal and external audits, supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Collaborate with production and operations teams to maintain a culture of quality and safety.
6. Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• BSc. in Chemistry, Food Science and/or related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Food Manufacturing or Food Service.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and GMP in the food industry.
• General knowledge of quality management principles and research methodology.
• Computer Literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
