Logistics Coordinator

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring logistics activities to ensure the efficient movement of goods, equipment, materials, and personnel while maintaining compliance with organizational requirements and delivery timelines.

The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities within fast-paced operational environments.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate the transportation, storage, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies. Monitor logistics activities to ensure timely delivery and operational efficiency. Develop and maintain logistics schedules and transportation plans. Coordinate local and international shipments where applicable. Collaborate with procurement, operations, warehouse, and project teams to support business requirements. Monitor inventory movement and coordinate replenishment activities. Track shipments and proactively address delivery delays or disruptions. Assist in demand forecasting and logistics planning activities. Liaise with transportation providers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, suppliers, and contractors. Coordinate delivery schedules and transportation arrangements. Monitor vendor performance and service levels. Assist in evaluating logistics service providers and identifying opportunities for improvement. Prepare and maintain logistics documentation, shipping records, delivery notes, and inventory reports. Ensure compliance with company policies, customs regulations, and transportation requirements. Support audit activities by maintaining accurate logistics records. Monitor and report on logistics performance indicators. Coordinate personnel mobilization and demobilization activities. Support offshore and project logistics requirements. Assist with the movement of project materials, equipment, and specialized cargo. Coordinate site deliveries and logistics activities across multiple locations. Provide regular updates to internal stakeholders regarding shipment status and logistics activities. Coordinate with clients, suppliers, and operational teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Escalate logistics issues and propose solutions when required. Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Procurement, or a related field. Professional certifications in Logistics or Supply Chain Management would be considered an asset. Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, warehousing, procurement, or operations coordination. Experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Shipping, Construction, Marine Services, Manufacturing, or Logistics environments would be highly desirable.
