Business Development Officer
Job Summary

The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building client relationships, developing strategic partnerships, and supporting revenue growth initiatives.
The successful candidate will combine strong commercial awareness, relationship management skills, and strategic thinking to contribute to organizational growth and market expansion.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities. Develop and execute business development strategies to achieve growth objectives. Generate leads through networking, market research, referrals, and prospecting activities. Build and maintain a healthy pipeline of prospective clients and opportunities. Contribute to achieving revenue and profitability targets. Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and business partners. Conduct meetings, presentations, and business discussions with prospective and existing clients. Understand client needs and develop tailored solutions. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention. Conduct market analysis to identify industry trends, emerging opportunities, and competitive threats. Monitor competitor activities and market developments. Gather and analyze market data to support strategic decision-making. Provide recommendations for business growth and market expansion. Assist with the preparation of proposals, quotations, tenders, and business presentations. Collaborate with internal teams to develop client-focused solutions. Support contract negotiations and business discussions. Ensure proposals are submitted accurately and within required deadlines. Develop partnerships with industry stakeholders, government agencies, business associations, and potential collaborators. Identify opportunities for strategic alliances and joint ventures. Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and industry forums. Maintain accurate records of client interactions and business development activities. Update CRM systems and business development databases. Prepare business development reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates. Monitor performance against established KPIs and targets.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, Economics, Finance, International Business, or a related discipline. Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, account management, commercial operations, marketing, or client relationship management. Experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Financial Services, Insurance, Construction, Logistics, Telecommunications, Technology, or Corporate Services would be highly desirable as we are creating pools for all industries.
