Procurement Officer
Position Summary

The Procurement Officer is responsible for coordinating and executing procurement activities to support organizational operations and projects. The role involves sourcing goods and services, evaluating suppliers, managing purchase orders, negotiating pricing, and ensuring compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong analytical, negotiation, and relationship management skills and possess the ability to work effectively within fast-paced and dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities
Source and procure goods, materials, equipment, and services in accordance with organizational requirements. Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs), and Requests for Information (RFIs). Evaluate supplier quotations and proposals based on cost, quality, delivery timelines, and technical requirements. Identify opportunities for cost savings and procurement efficiencies. Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and service providers. Conduct supplier evaluations and performance assessments. Monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations. Support the identification and onboarding of new suppliers. Assist with the preparation, review, and administration of procurement contracts and agreements. Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to terms and conditions. Coordinate contract renewals and amendments where required. Maintain procurement and contract documentation. Coordinate purchasing activities to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast procurement needs. Support logistics and supply chain activities to maintain operational continuity. Assist with vendor coordination and delivery scheduling. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate procurement records and supporting documentation. Prepare procurement reports, spend analysis, and supplier performance reports. Support internal and external audits related to procurement activities. Collaborate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements. Provide procurement guidance and support to project teams and business units. Participate in cross-functional meetings and procurement planning initiatives. Build positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Management, Finance, or a related field. Professional procurement certifications (e.g., CIPS, ISM, CPSM) would be considered an asset. Minimum of 3–5 years of procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or contract administration experience. Experience within Oil & Gas, Energy, Construction, Logistics, Manufacturing, Telecommunications, or Corporate environments would be highly desirable. Experience managing vendor relationships and procurement processes is preferred. Ref: CM
