To work with the Retail Services Manager to develop the Guyana Retail Store to a full retail paint and accessories facility, offering top quality service to customers, coating information and related products. <br \/>2. To consistently achieve year-on-year sales targets and growth.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> The position will be based at Guyana retail stores. <br \/><strong>Dimensions:<\/strong> The Retail Services Supervisor will report to the Retail Services Manager <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/span> <\/p>\n<p><strong>1. Sales <\/strong><br \/>a) Create dynamic sales building strategies to increase sales. <br \/>b) Ensure sales targets are consistently met and strategic selling targets and initiatives are completed as assigned. <br \/>c) Ensure that Retail staff engage in add on sales and up sell other products or services. <br \/>d) Ensure that proper prices and discounts are applied to each category of goods <br \/>and customers. <\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Customer Relations<\/strong> <br \/>a) Oversee daily the functions of the Retail store, including staff management, reporting, reconciliation, and other related retail sales activities on time in full. <br \/>b) Ensure standards for quality and customer service are met. <br \/>c) Respond to customer complaints and comments in a timely manner. <br \/>d) Visit the retail sales floor regularly, conversing with customers to obtain feedback on continuous improvement strategies. <br \/>e) Be responsible for the timely opening and closing of the retail store.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Advertisement and Promotion<\/strong> <br \/>a) Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced, displayed or functions as advertised. <br \/>b) Ensure that merchandise is set up in an attractive display. <br \/>c) Ensure weekly store housekeeping\/cleaning guidelines are consistently performed <br \/>d) Assist the Retail Services Manager with implementing &#8220;in-store&#8221; promotions and special events from the Sales and Marketing team. <\/p>\n<p><strong>4. Cash and Inventory Management<\/strong> <br \/>a) Be responsible for floats and balance sales on a daily basis. <br \/>b) Ensure cash is banked daily or as prescribed by the Finance department. <br \/>c) Maintain a routine for ordering of goods from Inventory and maintain adequate levels of fast-moving stock. <br \/>d) Keep track of inventory requirements while using the information to make estimates on optimal stock levels. <br \/>e) Conduct periodic inventory analysis as required to accurately determine how much of a product or brand should be ordered (and when) so the store can build sales figures without overstocking. <br \/>f) Ensure accurate controls and procedures are in place to properly implement stock checks. <br \/>g) Monitor and control the movement of stock and ensure variances in physical stock are within tolerance levels. <br \/>h) Ensure compliance with established procedures and maintain effective internal control over the physical. <\/p>\n<p><strong>5. People Management<\/strong> <br \/>a) Plan and conduct meetings with staff to ensure compliance with established practices to implement new policies and to apprise employees of any changes to current standards. <br \/>b) Ensure that staff are taught correct sales, colour delivery and customer services procedures and have a good knowledge of the products they sell. <br \/>c) Observe and monitor employee performance to ensure adherence to the Business Unit&#8217;s policies and procedures. <br \/>d) Manage and motivate staff to increase and maintain productivity and efficiency and maintain favourable working relationships with all employees to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment and facilitate positive employee morale. Encourage staff to take initiative to improve operations, reduce costs and improve product quality and customer service. <br \/>e) Carry out performance appraisals as per company&#8217;s procedure in ensuring that reviews are ongoing, and results are used to help employees improve performance &#8211; which includes development of employees for future advancement when possible. <br \/>f) Cascade yearly MBOs to all direct reports clearly defining their strategic deliverables with Specific Measurable Attainable Relevant and Timely (SMART) principles and also meet the requirement of Board of Directors. <br \/>g) Implementation of productivity\/quality metrics and of incentive programs designed to minimize costs and enhance efficiency. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Qualifications \/ Experience<\/strong><\/span> <br \/>1. A Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Business Management or a related area with at least two (2) years of related work experience particularly in Customer Service, Sales and Retail Management. <br \/>OR <br \/>2. An Associate Degree in Business Management or related area with at least four (4) years of related work experience particularly in Customer Service, Sales and Retail Management. <\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Skills, Competencies and Requirements<\/strong><\/span> <br \/>1. Exemplary customer service skills, including dealing effectively with the public both in <br \/>person and over the telephone. <br \/>2. Excellent oral and written communication skills. <br \/>3. Knowledge of and previous experience with Microsoft Office. <br \/>4. Ability to work in a team based environment. <br \/>5. Knowledge of paints and the coatings industry. <br \/>6. Ability to work neatly and accurately. <br \/>7. Able to work well under pressure. <br \/>8.
