Cargo Assistant

Job Summary

The Cargo Assistant is reliable, responsible and concerned with the safety and satisfaction of customer packages. The ideal candidate is also organized, competent and comfortable dealing with people, due to possessing excellent communication skills. Working diligently with a focus on carrying out daily duties with accuracy and speed, to ensure operations run smoothly, is also essential to the role.

Job Responsibilities

1. Responsible for clearing, sorting and packing cargo instore to their proper locations at all times.
2. Ensure that cargo workflow procedures are followed with maximum efficiency.
3. Assisting with the verifying of all packages at the various facilities you work at in a timely manner.
4. Perform inventory counts as needed.
5. Ensure that all cargo is handled in a safe and professional manner.
6. Work closely with the Customer Service team providing continuous updates on cargo operations and any issues which may potentially impact customers
7. Follow company communication procedures, guidelines, and policies.

Job Requirements

• minimum of 3 CXC Passes (Mathematics & English)
• Experience in Customer Service would be an Asset.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs throughout a work shift.
• Flexible, adaptable and strong, with the ability to work on weekends.
