Warehouse Attendant

Job Summary

The Warehouse Attendant provides assistance with the daily operations of the warehouse. He/She may perform various activities to ensure that the warehouse runs efficiently and will have to perform a variety of tasks for both dry and cold items, which will include loading and unloading products/materials coming in and going out of the warehouse, storing the products, performing loader responsibilities on the truck, assisting in carrying out administrative tasks such as record keeping and stock reports. The Warehouse Attendant also ensures that products/materials are maintained at a certain quality and quantity.


Job Description

• Pick inventory from the warehouse for loading onto trucks safely and efficiently
• Offload stock, products, and materials from suppliers into the warehouse neatly and carefully
• Unload containers efficiently and carefully
• Pack and unpack items for stocking on warehouse shelves
• Store items in an orderly and accessible manner, ensuring quality and quantity standards are met
• Assist with daily stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records
• Dispose of approved items as directed by the Warehouse Manager
• Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in compliance with food safety regulations
• Keep all warehouse areas, including employee facilities, clean and organized
• Safely loading products for delivery to related restaurants/brands
• Offloading goods in stores and placing items in designated areas
• Monitoring temperatures of goods delivered to stores
• Reporting any damages during loading or unloading to the Truck Driver
• Assisting in keeping delivery trucks clean and tidy
• Carry out other related duties or errands as required by the job function

Job Requirements

• 3 CXC passes or vocational qualification or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year’s work experience in a warehouse environment.
• Police certificate of good character.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Valid driver’s lorry license and a clean driver’s record are an asset.
• Must be able to work on a shift basis via continuous rotating shifts or two shifts a day or otherwise as may be required from time to time and on public holidays and weekends.
