Our client is seeking to onboard a motivated and customer-focused Store Sales Associate to join their team at their new Canewood, Barbados location. \nStart Date: 01 July 2026
\nSalary: BB$17.13 per hour <\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities <\/p>\n
\u2022 Assist customers by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
\n\u2022 Provide accurate information regarding products, applications, and pricing.
\n\u2022 Process sales transactions efficiently using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
\n\u2022 Tint and mix paint products according to customer specifications.
\n\u2022 Pull and prepare merchandise from the sales floor or warehouse to fulfill customer orders.
\n\u2022 Maintain accurate work orders, formulas, and customer account records.
\n\u2022 Monitor inventory levels and report obsolete or damaged stock.
\n\u2022 Assist with merchandising activities, including stocking shelves, updating price labels, and setting up displays.
\n\u2022 Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders for accuracy.
\n\u2022 Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
\n\u2022 Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
\n\u2022 Support warehouse duties, stock counts, deliveries, and other operational activities as assigned. <\/p>\n
Qualifications & Requirements <\/p>\n
\u2022 High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
\n\u2022 Previous experience in retail sales or customer service would be an asset.
\n\u2022 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
\n\u2022 Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
\n\u2022 Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn POS systems.
\n\u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
\n\u2022 Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
\n\u2022 A valid driver’s licence would be an asset for associates involved in deliveries. <\/p>\n
Physical Requirements <\/p>\n
\u2022 Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally assist with heavier items.
\n\u2022 Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday.
\n\u2022 Good colour perception to accurately tint paint products.
\n\u2022 Ability to safely operate material handling equipment where applicable. <\/p>\n
