Overview
\nThe Client is seeking a professional and highly responsible Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety, security, and orderly operation of its office premises. This role requires a courteous, vigilant, and service-oriented individual capable of maintaining a secure environment while upholding high standards of professionalism. <\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities <\/p>\n
Access Control & Visitor Management <\/p>\n
\u2022 Control and monitor access to premises, admitting only authorized personnel and visitors
\n\u2022 Verify identification and purpose of visit before granting entry
\n\u2022 Maintain accurate visitor logs, including visitor details and entry\/exit times
\n\u2022 Record all authorized and unauthorized access attempts <\/p>\n
Security Presence & Surveillance <\/p>\n
\u2022 Maintain a visible and continuous security presence
\n\u2022 Conduct routine patrols of assigned areas
\n\u2022 Monitor security equipment where applicable
\n\u2022 Identify and report any suspicious activities <\/p>\n
Incident & Threat Reporting <\/p>\n
\u2022 Maintain a detailed security logbook
\n\u2022 Prepare and submit incident reports as required
\n\u2022 Immediately escalate urgent threats or concerns <\/p>\n
Visitor Interaction (Security Scope Only) <\/p>\n
\u2022 Professionally greet and direct visitors within security protocols
\n\u2022 Provide clear guidance related to access procedures only
\n\u2022 (Note: This role does not include administrative or clerical duties) <\/p>\n
Compliance & Confidentiality <\/p>\n
\u2022 Adhere strictly to all security procedures and confidentiality standards
\n\u2022 Operate in accordance with established protocols and professional conduct expectations <\/p>\n
Requirements <\/p>\n
\u2022 Proven experience as a security guard, preferably in corporate, institutional, or similar environments
\n\u2022 Strong communication and interpersonal skills
\n\u2022 High level of professionalism, discretion, and reliability
\n\u2022 Ability to remain calm and alert in both routine and high-pressure situations
\n\u2022 Basic knowledge of access control, visitor management, and incident reporting
\n\u2022 Must possess all certifications required in Barbados for security services
\n\u2022 Must be properly uniformed and accredited under applicable local regulations <\/p>\n
Role Limitations <\/p>\n
\u2022 This is a strictly security-focused role; no administrative or operational duties are permitted
\n\u2022 No access to internal systems or confidential data beyond security scope
\n\u2022 This is a non-armed position; use or carrying of firearms or weapons is not permitted <\/p>\n
