IT Support Specialist
Job Summary
We are seeking to build a pool of skilled and customer-focused IT Support Specialists for upcoming opportunities across Barbados.
These roles are responsible for providing technical support, maintaining IT systems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within organizations across sectors such as financial services, BPO, hospitality, and corporate environments.
The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to resolve technical issues efficiently in fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide first-line and second-line technical support to end-users (on-site and remote)
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues
• Log, track, and manage support tickets to ensure timely resolution
• Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Support network connectivity, including LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN access
• Assist with system upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance
• Provide guidance and basic training to users on systems and applications
• Assist with onboarding of new employees, including system setup and access
• Ensure a high level of customer service and user satisfaction
• Support cybersecurity protocols, including antivirus, access control, and data protection
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and procedures
• Report and escalate security risks or breaches as required
Requirements & Qualifications
• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
• Minimum of 2–4 years’ experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
• Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, MacOS) and basic networking
• Familiarity with helpdesk/ticketing systems and IT support tools
• Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+) are an asset
