Store Sales Associate

Our client is seeking to onboard a motivated and customer-focused Store Sales Associate to join their team at their new Canewood, Barbados location. Position Type: Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Start Date: 01 July 2026
Salary: BB$17.13 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Assist customers by identifying their needs and recommending appropriate products and services.
• Provide accurate information regarding products, applications, and pricing.
• Process sales transactions efficiently using the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Tint and mix paint products according to customer specifications.
• Pull and prepare merchandise from the sales floor or warehouse to fulfill customer orders.
• Maintain accurate work orders, formulas, and customer account records.
• Monitor inventory levels and report obsolete or damaged stock.
• Assist with merchandising activities, including stocking shelves, updating price labels, and setting up displays.
• Verify incoming deliveries against purchase orders for accuracy.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
• Handle customer concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
• Support warehouse duties, stock counts, deliveries, and other operational activities as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service would be an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic computer literacy and the ability to learn POS systems.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays, as required.
• A valid driver’s licence would be an asset for associates involved in deliveries.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally assist with heavier items.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and move throughout the workday.
• Good colour perception to accurately tint paint products.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment where applicable.
