Job Summary
We are currently seeking to build a pool of skilled and passionate Chefs for upcoming opportunities across Barbados.
These roles will support culinary operations within hotels, resorts, restaurants, and catering establishments, ensuring high-quality food preparation, presentation, and service. The ideal candidate will demonstrate creativity, consistency, and a strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and present high-quality dishes in accordance with menu specifications and brand standards
• Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation across all meals
• Contribute to menu planning, including seasonal and specialty offerings
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock control
• Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food items
• Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with Barbados regulations
• Ensure compliance with health and safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular checks to maintain food quality and kitchen standards
• Work closely with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth service delivery
• Train and support junior kitchen staff where applicable
• Maintain effective communication within the team during service periods
Requirements & Qualifications
• Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field (preferred)
• Minimum of 2–5 years’ experience in a similar role within hospitality or food service
• Knowledge of Caribbean and international cuisine (an asset)
• Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
