Accountant
Position Overview
We are seeking to build a pool of qualified and detail-oriented Accountants for upcoming opportunities across Barbados. Successful candidates will support financial operations, ensure compliance with local regulations, and contribute to sound financial management within organizations across sectors including financial services, hospitality, and corporate environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, reports, and reconciliations
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Ensure compliance with Barbados tax regulations and financial reporting standards
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and statutory filings
• Support internal and external audit processes
• Monitor cash flow and financial performance indicators
• Maintain general ledger and ensure accurate financial records
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to management
• Utilize accounting systems and software to manage financial data efficiently
Requirements & Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• ACCA Level II or fully qualified (preferred)
• Minimum 3–5 years’ accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of Barbados tax laws and financial regulations
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
